Smartphone Industry is Going to Lay off a Large Number of Staff

According to the United States CNBC report, as the western and Chinese market demand for smartphones decrease, it makes the profit decline, so possibly this industry will come out the phenomenon of large-scale layoffs.

In the past few months, a large number of smartphone manufacturers and component supplier announced the plan of layoffs, including Blackberry, HTC, Lenovo, Microsoft, Panasonic and so on. Take the Panasonic as an example, it has claimed that 1300 staff were fired because the battery business scale was cut. At the same time, Microsoft tended to fire 7800 staff due to the smartphone business restructure. Although Blackberry and HTC didn’t announce their layoffs plan, the trend is obvious.

As for this issue, some analysts explained that, those big smartphone manufacturers and suppliers are trying to seek a new market to increase their achievements since their roads are full of difficulties and challenges in the future if they all develop in a same direction. However, it doesn’t mean the smartphone industry will be at a standstill, instead, it shows a lot of similar competitors are fighting for the same thing. As a result, if the manufacturer   producing smartphone or smartphone parts wants to develop continually, he must make something changeable and different.
